Telos is Going Exponential : Telos Month in Review - June 2020
Overview

Telos continues on the up and up, as a tiny network (by market cap) it continues to outpace far larger competition on both users and activity. The foundation is just one of so many contributors to Telos’ incredible success, much of the user growth is owed to the projects themselves. None the less it’s one of numerous barometers we track to ensure we are supporting the ecosystem effectively. With continued growth from projects like Ecoin, Angry Warlord, Peeranha, Area X and the addition of Taikai, the Telos network’s user growth really went into over drive in June 2020 (even after huge growth in May). 104,291 new user accounts added! Well done Telos dApps!

The following CryptoDiffer infographic was taken in early June but holds truer than ever at the end of the month. Telos, with over 6% of all global public blockchain activity(according to blocktivity) with 4.5 million daily operations is the number 1 blockchain for Activity/Valuation(Potential Ratio). This essentially means Telos(TLOS) token price is really low considering the networks very high utilisation (2nd only to EOS).
June Announcements / Progress
June has proven to be extremely successful in terms of big announcements for Telos. Both of the two larger announcements were opportunities nurtured by TF staff in collaboration with one of our key projects and the core developers respectively. Transform Group of course handled PR in collaboration with the Telos Foundations marketing team and community contributors.
Taikai
Hackathon Platform Takai uses Telos for next-gen open innovation events

“TAIKAI is a community-driven platform and we look for like-minded partners that can help us create a network effect. Fortunately, we’ve found TELOS, and we knew from the first meeting that we were completely aligned. I’m confident we’ll build a great future together as we connect companies with innovative teams to solve real-world challenges.”

Announcing Telos EVM, Start deploying Ethereum/Solidity Smart Contracts on Telos

Telos Core Devs deployed the Ethereum Virtual Machine contract ‘telos.evm’ on Telos Testnet in June. Now its possible for the thousands of ETH developers out there to deploy solidity smart contracts on Telos. Ethereum apps on telos run at thousands of transactions per second as opposed to just 14.
“telos.evm enables a future where Ethereum developers can immediately run their Solidity code 100 times faster with no modifications required.”

Telos Economic Development Plan 2.0
In June we have seen the community come together and draft, vote on and pass the new Tokenomic/Economic plan for Telos, ‘TEDP2.’ Although the Telos Foundation was not involved in the writing or implementation of the ‘TEDP2’ plan, we are excited to see the changes in approach and how this will setup a successful next five years at Telos. The implementation of the TEDP2 plan will provide the Telos Core Developers with consistent funding to help further build and implement solutions. The Telos Foundation is planning to increase coordination and collaboration with the Core Dev team to help implement a more cohesive strategy for the success of Telos.

Telos Foundation Financials
The USD spend numbers are again low, reflective of streamlining and Saving money for planned expenses as well as a low token price. We have decided to integrate the marketing budget with wages going forward as the staff writer’s payment is now in TLOS like all staff but also in recognizing that most of the TF staff are involved in marketing. Other than that, the costs are representative of ongoing expenses as servers, platform licenses, and subscriptions.

Richard (Outgoing)
As we hire more community members into the Telos Foundation, early board members have been able to be relieved of staff or board roles allowing us to create the desired separation and oversight we’ve been seeking but initially couldn’t achieve due to the demands of setting up a fully functional foundation from zero.
Stay tuned for a big July
You may have noticed we didn’t manage to get some of our deliverables from last month out there. Much of this got over the line but we had a backlog of things to announce. We are looking forward to multiple releases in the early half of July.
The Telos Foundation continues to increase internal efficiency and refine our strategies in outreach and partnerships. We are confident over the next several months, Telos should continue its tremendous growth in the number of tools, apps and users. Be sure to jump on board, start building and tell all your friends!
