Telos Releases TelosZero Core
Telos has released TelosZero Core 1.2.2, the first Telos-maintained core node software.
This marks the first release in Project Lightspeed, the coordinated upgrade program for the Telos network.
TelosZero Core 1.2.2 is based on Antelope Spring v1.2.2 and includes selected post-1.2.2 Spring stability and reproducibility fixes. It gives Telos operators a conservative production release line while establishing Telos-owned release provenance for core node software.
Why TelosZero Core Matters
Every serious blockchain eventually needs a clear path for maintaining and evolving its own core infrastructure. TelosZero Core moves release authority, packaging, provenance, and long-term maintenance under TelosNetwork stewardship while preserving Spring runtime compatibility.
For block producers, infrastructure providers, exchanges, tooling teams, and protocol contributors, this creates a clearer Telos-owned path for operator releases and future protocol work.
What Is Included in 1.2.2
- Based on Antelope Spring v1.2.2
- A conservative release/1.2-teloszero production branch for operators
- Selected post-1.2.2 Spring stability and reproducibility fixes
- Telos mainnet and testnet genesis materials
- A public Ubuntu operator package: teloszero-core_1.2.2_amd64.deb
The runtime command names remain stable for operators and tooling: nodeos, cleos, keosd, and spring-util.
Release Validation
The TelosZero Core 1.2.2 release was validated through package build and test coverage before publication.
- Release package build completed on dedicated x86_64 infrastructure
- Ubuntu 22.04 package install smoke passed
- Focused regression coverage passed for interrupt, read-only transaction, SHiP, and PerformanceHarness coverage affected by the final cleanup
- Full release-candidate CTest validation completed during the 1.2.2 release process
Full release-candidate CTest results:
- Parallel CTest: 2110/2110 passed
- Nonparallel CTest: 104/104 passed
- Long-running CTest: 33/33 passed
Build Provenance
TelosZero Core 1.2.2 was tagged from source commit fcb9f5fc627619a8b06cd6b871c462b1d70d3aa4.
The public operator package is available as teloszero-core_1.2.2_amd64.deb with SHA-256 checksum:
285fdfc1abde5104892d94b1f380c6d79aba35eac3413f139119ea88574c5007
The package supports the same primary operating systems inherited from the Spring line unless a release note says otherwise, including Ubuntu 22.04 Jammy and Ubuntu 20.04 Focal.
Part of Project Lightspeed
TelosZero Core is the first pillar of Project Lightspeed: a coordinated effort to give Telos a stronger, Telos-owned foundation for network upgrades.
Future development on the main TelosZero Core branch is where Telos-specific protocol work will be reviewed, including roadmap work toward quantum-safe Telos infrastructure. Production operators should continue to use tagged releases from maintained release branches.
