Telos January Recap

We are incredibly excited to kick off 2025 and the changes that it will bring to Telos.  With the release of EVM2.0, we are unlocked in growing the application ecosystem and focused on becoming a complete user and developer experience through the combination of TelosX, Snarktor and TelosEVM. These products will begin to work together, complement each other and form the flywheel for new products and applications building within the Telos Ecosystem.

In addition, with Web3 being as noisy as ever, it is integral to Telos’s success that the product and direction are communicated clearly and consistently.  We are listening to the Telos Community’s feedback and will be implementing changes to help accomplish this.

Ecosystem and Integrations

🔸Telos partnered with Rarible to provide a leading NFT marketplace for the Telos Ecosystem and Tekika. Telos will be working closely with Rarible to incentivize NFT creators and projects to launch on Telos.

🔸After being unlocked by EVM2.0, Sequence Account Abstraction wallet has gone live. This partnership is uniquely impactful as it helped form a strategic partnership for Business Development between Telos & Sequence, allowing for introductions to 100s of leading web3 games utilizing Sequence. Web3 games or applications can now create a seamless onboarding experience and leverage Sequence’s tooling to make the development process much easier and faster.

🔸Telos is integrating Ethereum Attestation Service (EAS) to create a trusted, scalable framework for verifiable onchain assets, enabling real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, land ownership attestations, and identity verification. This partnership leverages Telos EVM for low-cost innovation and Telos zkEVM L2 for Ethereum compatibility, ensuring secure and scalable attestations.

🔹SNARKtor Development Milestone Expansion

‍In January, we hit a major milestone in the development of scaling by launching the public release of Plonky2 Goldibear on GitHub.  This development allows for full code review and for projects to begin exploring the implementation of Snarktor.  SNARKktor represents a major utility arm of the Telos ecosystem and TLOS token.  As we see the need for scaling ZK gaining traction over the next year, Telos is positioning itself to be at the forefront of this field by creating the most efficient aggregation protocol.

Through SNARKtor, Telos can scale L2s, RAAS services and a multitude of user-based applications throughout web3 or even web2 industries.

User data privacy is one of the leading use cases in which users can confirm information without revealing the data itself.  Due to the amount of data breaches either technical or through needing to share sensitive data with employees, customers are consistently putting themselves in harm’s way.  ZK will allow the users to retain their data and greatly reduce the risks.  This is where the value of Snarktor and Telos comes in, with certain applications needing to process thousands and possibly tens of thousands of generated proofs, aggregating the proofs becomes incredibly important to ensure systems can process and costs remain low.

🔹What to expect in February?

Expect a few steps forward in DEFI within the Telos ecosystem – we believe we need to help create increased interoperability between Telos and other networks, which is what we have been working on and should have a clear direction being revealed in February.

We are also reaching a major milestone to be reached and announced on Snarktor, stay tuned for updates and a usable application to see the use cases of Snarktor!

🔹Telos Onchain January saw a large increase in on-chain transactions, up to 739k transactions on the Telos EVM, up from ~450k transactions in December.  As Telos continues to onboard users and applications, we hope to see continued increases in our transaction counts, leading to more TLOS burned per month.
