The Telos EVM project continues to increase its productivity and capabilities with the addition of new professionals tackling every aspect of this extensive project! Get to know the new team members and how they’ll contribute to making Telos EVM the best EVM on the market!
The Telos Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) team has been working hard to complete the milestones laid out in our EVM Roadmap. Extensive progress has been made and in order to keep the community in the loop, we will be releasing bi-weekly Technical Updates starting on May 13th. But we might have another sneak peek coming out before then, so stay tuned…
A priority for us in the past month has been to grow our team and develop a structure that allows us to operate as efficiently as possible. This is an ongoing initiative, but we’re thrilled to introduce the current team and tell you about their roles in this important project.
Project Technical Lead: Jesse Schulman
Many people in the Telos community will recognize Jesse from the multitude of other initiatives he’s been involved with over the years. In addition to working as a block producer on the Telos blockchain, Jesse has also served as a board member with the Telos Foundation, since its inception. So, it’s safe to say that the technical team is in good hands with Jesse at the helm! His involvement goes beyond simply overseeing the direction of development though. Jesse is consistently jumping in wherever he’s needed, offering hands on technical support every step of the way! He’s had a large hand in the work of this project and always figures out how to overcome practically any major challenge that the team faces.
Ethereum Advisor: Mikko Ohtamma
Mikko is our eyes on the inside of the Ethereum community! He’s been a vital link in connecting the Telos team with developers, collaborators and other initiatives from the Ethereum ecosystem. Mikko has an extensive background and vast knowledge in this sector, making him invaluable when it comes to interfacing with the many Ethereum aspects that make up a project like this. He’s played a big role in ensuring we deliver a product that will meet the high expectations of leading Ethereum developers.
Project Manager: George Vernon
We’re excited to welcome our official project manager on board the EVM team! George will be handling the administrative side of things and making sure development moves forward like a well-oiled machine. As a primary representative of the EVM team, he’ll be overseeing progress in all departments and ensuring that major milestones are met in a timely manner. George will be an integral link between the developers and the community, providing technical updates on a regular basis.
The Godfather: Douglas Horn
Douglas played a large role in getting the ball rolling on this project. He brought together a team and encouraged their involvement by making them an offer they couldn’t refuse. Even after helping to get this initiative off the ground, he has continued to be involved himself, helping to steer the project. Whether it’s assisting with technical snags, strengthening core processes, procuring resources or bringing in new team members and partnerships, he’s always close at hand when we need some extra guidance. In doing so he often reminds us of the words spoken by the great Don Vito Corleone, “A man who doesn’t spend time with his family can never be a real man.”
History & Block Explorer Developer: Igor Lins e Silva
Igor is also a block producer on the Telos blockchain and working with the EVM team is just one of his many contributions to the Telos ecosystem. In regard to EVM, Igor plays an integral role in recording history, interfacing with the RPC and building the block explorer which will become a vital piece of this project.
Developers: Eugene luzgin (ABI & Solidity Source Code Developer), Harsh Udasi (EVM Development & Documentation), Pavel Martnov (Dapp Development)
We are continuing to expand our team with top notch developers who are well versed in both Ethereum and EOSIO technology. In fact, we recently onboarded a fantastic team of developers who will be transitioning into their positions in the coming weeks.
Eugene has contributed an interface to upload ABI & Solidity Source Code and has already been heavily involved in coalescing developments into the Telos ecosystem. Pavel brings with him a background in Dapp development, having recently created a demo Dapp on EVM that we can’t wait to share with the community! Finally, Harsh is invaluable when it comes to general EVM development and handling the massive amounts of the documentation necessary to move this project forward.
We’re lucky to have talented developers like them as a part of the team and look forward to giving more details about their specific projects real soon. Having dedicated developers will immensely improve the efficiency and quality of our work!
Public Relations Specialist: Lliam Buckley
Lliam’s already heavily involved in the Telos Foundation, handling all things related to content and public communications. In this project, he’ll be working alongside George and the rest of the team, making sure milestones are met and shouting them to the rest of the world. On top of the longer bi-weekly technical updates, he’ll also be publishing regular status updates to the Telos Foundation’s social channels and encourage marketing campaigns around developments.
Reasons To Get Excited for EVM
- This will be the fastest EVM available, by a considerable margin!
- Telos EVM is the most affordable EVM option on the market!
- Absolutely no Front Running with the Telos EVM!
- EVM will make Telos the only network supporting the dominating protocol technologies on dApp Radar (EOSIO & EVM). This opens Telos up to the largest possible developer audience!
