Following a very successful liquidity raise event on bounce.finance, we are happy to announce we have used some of the ETH raised to create a significant swap pool for the TLOS ERC-20 token on Uniswap. This swap pool will be locked for two years to ensure long-term liquidity on the Uniswap platform.
With the TLOS ERC-20 now broadly available, we have created a short walkthrough for those who want to acquire some TLOS tokens via Uniswap, the number one decentralised exchange (DEX) on Ethereum:
TLOS (ERC-20) token contract address
Beware of fake and scam tokens on Uniswap. To conduct a swap, only use the official TLOS token contract address, which you can find here: 0x7825e833d495f3d1c28872415a4aee339d26ac88
To make sure you are always getting the correct token on Uniswap, when selecting the token you want, copy and paste the contract address into the search bar:
What will you need?
To trade on Uniswap, you will need an Ethereum Wallet (such as MetaMask) and some ETH. Once you have this setup, head over to the app, connect your wallet in the top right, and start using the protocol to provide liquidity or swap tokens. Remember that each transaction on Ethereum costs ETH (this is called the “gas fee” and it’s paid to miners to keep the network running).
Launch the Uniswap App
Start by heading over to https://uniswap.org/ and clicking ‘Use Uniswap’ in the top right corner.
Assuming you’re logged out of your Ethereum wallet, you’ll see the option to connect to a wallet in the upper right-hand corner. Go ahead, click it. Now you get the connect to a wallet screen.
You will now be offered a range of supported Ethereum wallets. Click on the one you are using. If you aren’t logged in, at this point, a pop-up will appear asking you to log in and confirm your connection to the Uniswap app.
Once done, you’re taken back to the swap screen. Now It’s time to swap.
How to swap ETH for TLOS
By default, Uniswap will have ETH as the token of choice to trade for the token you want. This will appear as the token in the ‘From’ box.
In the ‘To’ box below, you want to select the token you will trade your ETH for, in this case, TLOS.
Click ‘select a token’ and you should see something that looks like the below:
You can choose to search for the token by name, such as TLOS; however, to ensure you are only ever getting the official token and not another token with the same name – we recommend copy and pasting the contract address of the TLOS token: 0x7825e833d495f3d1c28872415a4aee339d26ac88
Click the TLOS token (only one token should appear if you have correctly copy and pasted the contract address into the search bar), and you will be taken back to the swap screen.
Now enter the amount of ETH you would like to swap for TLOS. Or enter the amount of TLOS you would like, and Uniswap will automatically tell you how much ETH you will need to make the swap.
Now click ‘Swap’. A pop-up will appear that will show the full details of the swap and ask you to confirm.
Finally, depending on which Ethereum wallet you are using, a pop-up will appear on your screen that looks like this (below). It will show the cost of your trade (from ETH to TLOS), the cost to carry out the trade on the Ethereum network (the gas fee), and the total cost (the cost of the swap plus the gas fee).
If you are happy with the cost, simply click confirm, and the trade will be submitted to the Ethereum network. You will then see a ‘pending’ notification on Uniswap; once the transaction is carried out, this notification will change to say ‘complete’.
Adding custom tokens
Please note, for some Ethereum wallets, such as MetaMask, once your transaction is complete, you may need to add the token to your wallet in order to see your balance.
To do this, enter your wallet, and click the ‘Add token’ button.
Then click ‘Custom Token’ and copy and paste the TLOS contract address (0x7825e833d495f3d1c28872415a4aee339d26ac88), and click ‘Next’.
Your TLOS tokens will now appear in your wallet.
